The London Sejong Institute is recruiting part-time instructors of Korean language.
The part-time Adjunct Faculty will deliver one Korean language course and provide associated administrative support to the London Sejong Institute program.
MAIN DUTIES:
Teaching Responsibilities:

Teach Intermediate 2A Korean (Thursdsay 18:30-20:30) Online at Chiswick Park
Administrative Support Responsibilities:
● Ensure smooth delivery and completion of assigned courses.
● Record and document student attendance for submission at the end of the course.
● Administer exams and facilitate their completion.
● Document and formally submit test results to the London Sejong Institute.

Respond to inquiries from students.
LOCATION:
Your principal place of work will be the University's campus at Chiswick Park. You may also be required to work at other locations temporarily, as agreed with the University.
SPECIAL NOTE:
● A Basic Level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this position.

Additional occasional weekend and evening work may be required.
GENERAL:
The responsibilities outlined above are subject to change at the discretion of the London Sejong Institute Director. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary. The LSI Director will work closely with the Adjunct Faculty to coordinate tasks, resolve issues, and evaluate performance.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential Criteria for Administrative Assistant:
● Fluency in Korean, both written and spoken.
● Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Hancom document software.
● Experience in a similar role, preferably in international further and/or higher education.
● Highly organized with a structured approach to work.
● Ability to build effective working relationships with university colleagues, students, and external contacts.
● Capability to work quickly and accurately, sometimes under pressure.
● Excellent written and numerical skills.
● Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
● Flexibility and a proactive approach to work.
● Discretion and intercultural sensitivity.

Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
Essential Criteria for Teaching:
● Native or near-native fluency in Korean.
● Certificate of Korean Language Teacher Level 2 (한국어 교원 자격증 2급) from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Republic of Korea
● Previous experience in teaching Korean as a foreign language, preferably at the beginner level.
● Strong knowledge of Korean language teaching methodologies and best practices.
● Ability to develop and deliver engaging and effective lessons, both in person and pre-recorded.
● Experience in creating and grading assessments for language courses.
● Familiarity with virtual teaching tools and platforms (if applicable).
● Ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for teaching.
Requirements:
Applicants must possess at least a Level 2 Korean Language Teacher Certification issued by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of the Republic of Korea.
